Built Environment students gain the skills and knowledge required to shape the towns and cities of the future, ensuring that buildings are environmentally friendly, cost efficient and conserved to the highest standard. The variety of work is unique too. Students have a rare opportunity to develop skills in teamwork as well as the wide range of technical, creative and personal abilities demanded by the building industry. Field trips, both at home and overseas, are combined with academic and vocational studies. Construction Management and Surveying covers the principal disciplines of Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management. There are opportunities for students to obtain sponsorship from leading construction organisations providing them with an opportunity to receive a bursary and gain industrial experience.
