Key Information

Teaching and Assessment

In the first two years assessment is normally at the end of the semester for each particular programme. In the final year students study a collection of advanced subjects and carry out a major individual project. Progress is normally determined by a mixture of continuous and end-ofcourse assessment.

Professional Recognition and Exemptions

The Computer Science and Software Engineering degrees are accredited to the highest levels by the British Computer Society (BCS) and The Engineering Council. The Computer Science and Software Engineering degrees give full exemption from BCS examinations and the Software Engineering degree completely fulfils the CEng academic requirements.

  • A strong foundation in contemporary computer science theory and practice
  • Specialist knowledge in a focused field
