As Edinburgh continues to develop as a major international business, finance, tourism and political centre, so its transport links grow apace. The number and range of international direct flight destinations has increased rapidly in recent years, while links to other transport hubs are reliable, rapid and efficient. Major investments are currently being made in Scotland's road, rail, sea and air infrastructure. Rail and air links to London are frequent and fast and there is also a direct ferry link to the European continent.
